The 6th Hellenic-French Applied Dialogues Conference took place on May 11–12 in Nea Orestiada, focusing on geopolitical uncertainty, the crisis of International Law, and the role of diplomacy in the modern era.

The conference stood out for the meaningful exchange between Greek- and French-speaking experts, highlighting the growing convergence of Greek and French perspectives on current international developments, while connecting historical insight with contemporary global challenges. Special reference was made to Alexandros Karatheodori and his contribution to 19th-century diplomacy.

The keynote speaker was Herman Van Rompuy, former President of the European Council, who presented a comprehensive assessment of the European project and its future challenges. Distinguished figures from politics, diplomacy, and academia from Greece and France also participated in the discussions.

The sessions focused on geopolitical transformations, demographic changes, the crisis of the West, and the evolving role of international organizations and diplomacy in addressing contemporary global issues.

The conference was held under the auspices and support of major institutional and cultural organizations, including the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of France in Greece.
